ABSTRACT
Background: Cutaneous horn is a clinical term used to describe a hard, keratotic conical lesion. Its base may be a papule, plaque or nodule
Objectives: An approach for how to diagnose and manage a cutaneous horn
Materials and methods: Here-in we report an aged male 85-years old presented with a history of painful slowly progressive skin lesion over his right foot 7 months ago
Results: The past medical history revealed that the lesion was preceded by presence of a cutaneous horn [CH] at the same site of the current skin lesion. That CH was persistent for a year before it spontaneously fell down. Skin biopsy from the base of the CH was taken at that time, it was consistent with underlying actinic keratosis. He did not receive any treatment for his CH. Currently skin examination revealed fungating ulcer measuring 6X6 cm on the dorsum of the right foot. There was no inguinal lymphadenopathy. Punch skin biopsy was taken from the edge of the ulcer for histopathological examination
Conclusion: On the basis of the above clinicopathological findings, a diagnosis of well differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma was made. The patient was referred to Oncologist for appropriate management

ABSTRACT
Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic relapsing inflammatory skin condition affecting the apocrine sweat glands. Among the complications of this rare condition are local lymphedema and lymphangioma. A case of scrotal lymphedema and lymphangioma following chronic hidradenitis suppurativa in the genital area is described. Excisional skin biopsy was compatible with secondary lymphangioma. A resection of the scrotal mass was performed with reconstruction of the scrotum, penis and perineum

An up-to-date overview of antithrombotic drugs, with their currently reported beneficial cutaneous effects and skin side effect, is presented. Attempts to balance traditional pharmacodynamic concepts with the newly described empiric benefits are made. A concise, current and useful reference for dermatologists with an interest in dermatopharmacology and the practicing physician in the field of wound care, vasculitides and skin involvement of internal diseases is tried to be achieved

Subcutaneous fat necrosis [SCFN] occurs in term newborn with history of difficult delivery. Apart from the soft tissue lesions, the infants may suffer from life threatening hypercalcemia as a complication of disease requiring various medications. A case of subcutaneous fat necrosis with history of birth asphyxia is presented and clinical course and treatment options are discussed

Dermatopathology still remains the fundament of the entire dermatology study. Different approaches have been implicated to facilitate the diagnostic process in dermatopathology. To date, many specific dermatopathological findings have been introduced to indicate a particular disease. Most of them however can not fulfill the criteria of applicability and good clinico-pathological correlation. Herein we take the challenge of promoting a useful catalogue of the most common terms used by dermatopathologists

We report an 11-year-old girl with well defined ichthyosiform patches on extremities. There is a history of similar condition in her cousin. We believe that this case represent a new autosomal recessive disorder of cornification that may be better refer to it as "progressive symmetric exfoliative ichthyosis"

Genodermatoses in the Gulf countries have been re- viewed. The high occurrence of diseases like epidermolysis bullosa, mal de Meleda and biotinidase deficiency have been noted. New syndromes are also continuously being reported. Molecular studies have revealed findings different from those described elsewhere. These have been linked to the large family size and tribal customs that lead to consanguinity. Influx of immigrants, wars and environmental pollutants are likely to worsen the situation. As treatment of genetic disorders is a challenging issue, prevention must be targeted by providing good premarital counseling and altering the tribal customs that promote consanguinity
